Acanthite
A strong and well defined shape with the largest complex octahedral crystal 20 x 19mm. Not being shiny allows the sharp edges and form to dominate the aesthetics. This piece came out in 2005, and there is no damage.

Acanthite
This piece has great form and resembles an artifact. Because this is not shiny gray, the wonderful shapes are more evident. A 360 degree specimen that I thought was the best of the lot. There is no damage.

Aegirine
Sharp and lustrous well formed intersecting crystals.

Agatized Coral (pair)
Black with a touch of coffee colored brown is a very rare color combination and comes from the Tampa Bay area. These corals come from reefs existing 20-30 million years ago.

Agatized Coral (pair)
This pair is among the most desirable of all Tampa Bay agatized coral because it has great color and a druzy quartz interior. These corals come from reefs existing 20-30 million years ago.

Agatized Coral (pair)
This pair demonstrates many desirable features for an agate collector. The banding is strong. There is an eye formed in one half. The center is druzy quartz. These corals come from reefs existing 20-30 million years ago.

Agatized Coral (pair)
This pair is a very well matched light carmel color and a great example of finger agatized coral from the Tampa Bay area. These corals are from reefs existing 20-30 million years ago.

Agatized Coral (pair)
This is a remarkable pair of agatized coral with a druzy quartz interior within an agatized skin replacing the coral head. This is a crypto-crystalline quartz replacing calcium carbonate Florida agatized coral is approximately 20-30 million years old (Oligocene-Miocene Hawthorn Group sediments) and is the official state stone. The red colored veins really make this piece special.

Agatized Coral (single)
Dark brown with reddish highlights really set this piece off when contrasted with the white skin. Finger agatized coral is typical of specimens from the Tampa Bay region. These corals come from reefs existing 20-30 million years ago.

Agatized Coral (single)
This piece has the deep orange/red color, which collectors look for in coral from Tampa Bay. It also has an attractive contrast with the center being botryoidal with a white coating for contrast. These corals come from reefs existing 20-30 million years ago.

Agatized Coral (single)
The reddish brown color of this specimen is sought after by collectors because of its beauty and clarity. I like to see below the surface into the agate. It reminds me of a clear creek with the water stained by tannic acid. These corals come from reefs existing 20-30 million years ago

Andradite
Bright orange red, gemmy crystals of andradite to 2 MM scattered on an earthy matrix. Great under the scope, but also visible under the naked eye. Covered front and back.

Andradite
Deep red andradite crystals with minor calcite and micro hausmannites on a manganese ore matrix. Great color!

Andradite
Bright wine red , gemmy crystals of andradite to 2mm scattered on an earthy matrix. Great under the scope, but also visible with the naked eye. Some contacting. Excellent coverage!

Apatite
Gemmy, light green prisms of apatite to 2.8 cm on a matrix of pastel peach calcite. Not all the crystals are terminated, but still a good representative of the locale.

Azurite
Tiny deep blue azurite crystals are sprinkled on a pastel quartz matrix with micro quartz crystals. great under magnification.

Azurite
A bright and colorful example from this region. Several of the crystals are doubly terminated making this a fine multi-dimensional example. This fills up a thumbnail box. The main crystal is 2.6 x .9 x .5 cm and doubly terminated.

Azurite
Deep blue crystals of azurite on tyhe surface and crevices of a limonite matrix. Good reference piece from Bisbee!

Azurite and Malachite
A group of deep electric blue azurite crystals to 4 cm sit in paralllel growth on a matrix of massive and crystallized azurite and minor malachite. The crystals in the center group are are terminated and undamaged while the group to the left is a lighter blue and has a flat luster caused by natural etching.

Azurite w/ Duftite, Malachite & Cerussite
Blocky, lustrous blue crystals of azurite intermixed with bright bright green duftite, darker green malachite and white to clear cerussite crystals. Another great Tsumeb combination piece. Even better under magnification!

Azurite w/ Malachite
A group of terminated, very lustrous bright blue crystals of azurite in parallel growth with a smaller crystal at an angle. You will notice that a section of the azurite is pseudomorphing to malachite and malachite also coats part of the crystals. It is a fine example of a desirable mineral combination from this classic location. There is a minor contact on the base.
