October 5, 2010: Shows: See me in Tucson at the Convention Center Tucson Gem & Mineral Society Show this February 9th-12th, 2011 at booth 317-319. Brazil: I just returned from a 2 week trip in Minas Gerais visiting several towns and mining areas along my route. Each summer I invite 1 to 4 others to join me as we search for mineral specimens. This year supplies of better specimens were diminished from years before because many small mining operations have been closed by new environmental regulations being aggressively enforced. |
Guitar lessons didn't pan out, but you could still say I was "born to rock". That's
because another form of rock - mineral collecting - has become a huge passion of mine. It was purely a hobby for me, until I opened a gem, mineral and jewelry store called Gallery of Gems in Boca Raton, Florida in 1975. During the last 10 years, I have dealt mostly in minerals and gems at various shows, such as Tucson's Main Show and other shows in Florida and all around the country. Today, with the advent of Internet, I'm excited to bring the highest quality specimens to avid collectors. So thanks for visiting my site and checking out my life-long passion.
